We're The Lopez Family
My wife and I are 5th generation Mexican American, barely knew any Spanish but came to Mexico in 2019 with goal to see people come to know Jesus!
We are a young family with 3 children, Julianna, Lilianna, and Mateo. My wife, Audryanna, and I will be celebrating 8 years of marriage in May. God is so Good! My wife is the best partner I can ever ask for to serve the Lord in Mexico.

Luis grew up in San Diego under the preaching of Pastor Steve Chappell from Coastline Baptist Church. Luis is also a graduate of West Coast Baptist College and has served in missions in Mexico as a single man from 2014-2016.
​
In 2016 Luis and Audry got married and knew the Lord was calling them to serve in Mexico. They became missionaries and are apart of Baptist International Missions Inc. in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

After deputation their family served under a veteran missionary in Sonora, Mexico, where they studied Spanish and learned more about Mexican culture.

In 2019 just before the pandemic was worldwide, the Lopez family moved to Baja California Norte, and felt the need to start a church in Ensenada. Little did they know the pandemic would be so immense, the whole country was shut down and slowed the progress of starting Iglesia Bautista La Cruz.
​
In 2020 Iglesia Bautista La Cruz or The Cross Baptist Church was started. We are a young but growing church that is passionate about serving Jesus and sharing the Gospel message to anyone. To Learn more about the ministry

Luis
I had the privilege of being raised in church. I heard the Gospel throughout childhood but when I was 17 years old, I recognized myself as separated from God by sin and put my whole trust in Jesus as my Savior. I grew in my walk with Christ and decided to go to Bible college to continue to grow and serve others.
Audryanna
I came to know Jesus when I was 10 years old at an Easter service my family was invited too. My mom was a single mom raising us at the time because my dad always struggled with alcohol and was incarcerated during this time. I remember being in the kids Sunday school class and the whole message was about Jesus loving the world and dying on the cross. That was the day I accepted Christ. I was so happy I ran up to my mom telling her what happened in class, and she looked down at me with tears in her eyes and said she got saved too! This is a special memory as my mom passed away the following year in a car wreck.
